Electric Motorbike (EMB) Incorporated, built about 100 Lectra electric motorbikes in California between 1996 and 1999.

Years ahead of its time, the Lectra VR24 uses its patented Variable Reluctance (VR) motor and is powered by a 104 amp-hour, 24 volt VRLA/AGM battery pack with speeds up to 45 mph and a range of up to 35 miles.

Electric Cyclery's 1999 Lectra VR24 is in mint condition. Crated soon after it was built, this little beauty has only 160 original miles on her. Taken out of the crate in 2011, new Optima yellow top batteries were installed. California registrationvalid until Jan 2013.

The Mighty Jackal

More of a drag racer than an electric bike, the Mighty Jackal goes faster than we want to talk about. As one Jackal owner put it, "You might want to bring a change of underwear."

Built by Thunderstruck Motors in Santa Rosa, California, the Jackal set several speed records at NEDRA events. From the hand-crafted frame by Rotator Recumbent to the massive industrial power of the legendary Briggs and Straton E-Tek motor, the Jackal is a masterwork of speed and agility.

Electric Cyclery's beloved Jackal has less than 100 miles on it and been sitting on a pedestal in our Laguna Beach showroom ever since the local cops figured out how totally illegal it is to ride this monster on public streets.
