an EMS designed display/controller unit with state-of-the-art
microprocessor and communications designed specifically
for the E+. Elegant and simple to use, it controls the entire
system seamlessly and safely.
The
LCD-display shows speed, distance traveled, battery capacity,
cruise control option, and 19 cycling modes. It also displays
trip-specific data such as distance of trip, duration, and
average speeds. Whether you want to take it slow and extend
your range or high speed sprint with no pedalling, after
a few rides you'll have your own style of riding worked
out and be able to program the bike for maximum fun.

The display is pocket-sized and removable for safe and easy
storage, when the display is removed, the battery is disabled
and the motor is put into full resistance mode, making pedaling
virtually impossible. This unit has backlighting (0-100%)
and automatically adjusts the contrast of display depending
on outdoor conditions.

The
E+ is powered by a newly designed and proprietary EMS
1000 watt (750 watt standard) hub-mounted, brushless
permanent magnet motor with a state-of-the-art microprocessor
and field oriented control.
The
E+ battery pack is also newly designed and proprietary
and available only on E+ bikes. It features a 36 Volt
9 Ah NiMH battery with replaceable sets of 5 cells and
electronics sealed inside the front hub.
