No
hill is out of reach.
Fourteen powered gears means big hills don’t have to
suck up the amps. Changing gears is just like a
bicycle only when
you
twist to change the pedaling gear, the motorized drive
goes with it. Choose your gear and rip right up it.
It
makes you
feel confident in traffic.
Full contact street tires, 20 inch wheels, low CG and the Burro frame’s
geometric logic make this a nimble and extremely maneuverable electric
bike. We dig the disc brakes. You get a secure feeling
from being able to stop on a dime.
We
love coasting.
Hooray for free wheeling! Once you get it up to speed, its
fun to coast along silently and use power only when you
need it. Much lighter than other electrics, Machine X glides
on level ground. Down hill is pretty fun too.
Machine
X is easy to pedal.
It pedals like a regular bicycle. No extra resistance and
if the juice runs out, its nice to know you can pedal home
to
charge
up.
Machine
X is tough and easy to upgrade.
Machine X is more bicycle than machine. All the parts are standard
bike stuff and the opportunities to customize and
upgrade are endless. Extra battery packs and different gearing configurations
make
it possible to design a bike for specific transportation
needs. Another plus is that local bicycle shops shouldn't
have a problem working on Machine X.
Machine X is not silent.
The X Power motor makes the same whirring noise as the Hienzman
hub motor.
No
regenerative capabilities.
This is the price you pay for resistance free coasting.
There’s
a learning curve involved.
Machine X requires a few good long rides to really get a feel
for what it can do.
